Bosco's Honey Brown Lager CD, AX, AXJ, CGC
12-13-95 to 3-10-06
Bosco, my first performance Cocker Spaniel, he has taught me so much. After Bosco came into my life, I thought obedience training would be fun, so off to our local training club we went, never to expect to compete and earn our CD.
Then came agility, what started out as a hobby has now become an obsession. Bosco and I went on to train, compete and earn our AKC Excellent level titles in both Standard and Jumpers with weaves. Sadly Bosco had to retire from competition at an early age due to health issues. He will always be my special boy, without him I never would have been introduced to the fun and excitement of agility and the bond it creates. I also would not have believed how intelligent, determined and competitive the Cocker Spaniel can be, which also started my interest in conformation.
"GINGER"
8-4-89 to 4-28-04
Ginger was our first Cocker Spaniel at Catch Me. She was not destined to be a show or performance dog, but she filled our lives with happiness each day with her silly antics. She was a beloved companion and we miss her each and everyday.
Gunner was our honorary Flat Coated Retriever and my husband's best buddy. When I got Gunner we had such high hopes for him, he came from great lines and we planned on doing it all with him, conformation, obedience, agility and field work. But our plans were cut short when as a puppy at under 4 months old Gunner broke his back leg stepping off a curb no more than 3 inches high. We had it repaired and poor Gunner had a lot of rehab for a puppy, but he just didn't heal right and had a limp, so off to the specialist we went only to find out his hip was bad and not set in the socket correctly, so more surgery and a lot of rehab. Well because of all this he never became our agility, obedience, or conformation superstar, but it didn't slow him down one bit. He formed a loving bond with my husband and they were best friends, wherever I went with my Cockers, Gunner came along with my husband. He may have not been at the agility trials to compete but he was there to watch, socialize, go for long walks and throw the bumpers, ball, or Frisbees with my husband. He also did some field work for fun and really enjoyed it, but more importantly he enjoyed just being a dog and traveling around with us. He was taken from us too young only 7 years old from cancer. He never let on he was sick and never showed any signs of pain until it was too late. We miss him everyday, and not a day goes by that his buddy, my husband doesn't think of him.
